On June 23rd, 2019, Eric Melby (Professor of Chemistry at CBC) will depart Banff, Canada on an epic Rocky Mountain cycling adventure known as the 'Great Divide Mountain Bike Route.' The only thing between Banff and the ultimate destination of Antelope Wells, New Mexico is 2,700 miles, 200,000+ feet of elevation gain, 32 crossings of the Continental Divide, and some of the most remote and scenic landscape on the planet. You can follow the adventure on Instagram (@drdirtcyclingscientist). Through this (crazy?) feat, Eric hopes to raise money to support students at Columbia Basin College through scholarships and research opportunities. Please consider making a donation to support these amazing students and further enrich their scientific experiences!
